Our standard twin room was updated with an incredible view over the sea. The location was perfect and magnificent, around 10-15 minutes walk from Croatian Walk of Fame.

the outside pool would have been nice, if it was cleaned and if you could used it :-)
I would never go back to this hotel or to Opatija. The staff is rude and unprofessional (especially a person called Gabriel), the hotel is old, it has a "socialist" set-up, the rooms are ugly and all the customers who make a reservation via Booked.net get rooms with a view on the street, so do not expect a sea view...plus parking is a problem and you cannot leave your car in front of the hotel even if there are free places there because "thee places are reserved for other customers"...this seems to be the case in all Istria, so it is preferred to down more south to Dubrovnik or stay in Umag on the north.

Suitable accommodation for strolling. Top rated hotel, really helpful staff, ideal location right next to the beach. Updated, a decent size rooms provided with very good shower and a lovely view, for example.

well renovated and decent sized room with a balcony and seaview, i had an amazing stay. the location was perfect, just 5 min walk from croatian walk of fame. it was located in a beach area close enough to an excellent pizza restaurant and the other bars and the beach of opatija.
Some of the staff were quite busy.

The value for money at Hotel Istra - Liburnia was excellent. The room was spacious and clean, providing a comfortable stay. The hotel's location right next to the sea and within walking distance of Opatija's attractions was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
The morning meal could have been better with more variety and tastier options.

Clean, brand-new hotel, I truly enjoyed extremely spacious rooms and nice stuff. Units with comfortable bed. Actually everything was excellent, my next choice again in Opatija.

The location of the hotel is great. Right by the sea, and very short walking distance from the centre of town. The breakfast is quite ok. The room is clean, and overall good value for money. I would be happy to go back, in the condition of gutting a sea side room rather than a road one.
If you don't get a sea view and have the room facing the road, it is extremely loud from the cars. You have to have the window open as there is no air conditioning, and would be way too stuffy and hot otherwise. However road side rooms specially lower floor, really load from the road.

Recently refurbished hotel with fantastic views at the sea, right place for strolling. Comfortable bed, brand-new room with a storage space and a balcony. Thanks to the well-mannered staff everything was nice, including lots oftasty food.

Awesome stay! The location is just perfect, steps away from the beach and shops. Great value for money! The dinner buffet was really delicious and varied, with free wine and beers to top it off – the best meal we had all trip. We also liked the room, which was clean and comfortable with good Wi-Fi.
The breakfast was a huge disappointment – no fresh bread and terrible coffee. The towels were very thin and we missed having tea and coffee making facilities in our room.

The staff were nice and friendly. The location was amazing- right on the beach and the hotel had its own private beach. They have a bar and pool table. Good for families and couples but not much to do except go to the beach!
It was very dated and needed modernisation. The breakfast was very low quality and the restaurant service was not very good. They also said that they had table tennis in the brochure but they had thrown out the table! The hotel was generally clean but very old fashioned.
